New England College will host a Town Hall Meeting for Democratic presidential candidate Governor Martin O’Malley, Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 11:00 AM, in the Simon Center Great Room, located on NEC’s Henniker campus.

O’Malley’s Town Hall Meeting is the eleventh in a series of NEC Town Hall Meetings featuring potential and announced presidential candidates, leading up to New Hampshire’s First in the Nation Presidential Primary (#FITN). Supreme Court Justice Sings African American Anthem next Wednesday

Henniker, NH – On Wednesday, January 20, New England College will begin its 70th year with a reflection on its history and a celebration of diversity.  The College’s annual Founders Day will be highlighted in both song and remarks by noted alumnus and current New York State Supreme Court Justice, W. Franc Perry, III.  Justice Perry graduated from New England College in 1983 and later became the youngest member as well as the first African American to join the College’s Board of Trustees.  As part of his address, Justice Perry will sing a powerful and moving acapella version of the African American Anthem. New London Center Decision Set for May Town Meeting

The New London Board of Selectmen voted at its meeting of March 3, 2014 to place two articles relative to the establishment of a “community center” in the former high school building on the warrant for the Annual Town Meeting, May 14.  One article calls for action on a proposed lease agreement between the Kearsarge Regional School District and the Town of New London wherein the Town would lease the so-called “1941 Building”.  The second warrant article would appropriate an amount not to exceed $75,000 for annual operating expenses of the proposed “community center”.
